The NGA Awards recognise the huge commitment made to schools by governors and governing bodies. The NGA is pleased that the Department for Children, Schools and Families has also recognised that commitment with financial support for the 2009 Awards.

Book Reviewers

National Governors’ Association – Book Reviewers Request/Opportunity

DAG has been approached to pass the following message to Devon Governors.

“We are looking for book reviewers for the NGA magazine.  We regularly receive books on education and governance issues.  We try to review a couple of books per issue and the work is currently falling on the same people.  To write a review you need to be prepared to:  Read the book; Write a short (400 word max) review to the deadline set.  Which may mean reading and reviewing within a two week timescale.  We have a professional editor who will beat your copy into shape - and edit it exactly for word length, so non-writers should not feel discouraged from volunteering.”

If you are interested please contact Phil Revell at .

It would also be helpful if you would copy David Tall at  in any communication.
